| Record Numbers for Backpack Program 08/23/2024 It was a massive year for United Way Bruce Grey’s Backpack Program with record numbers. With just two weeks to students heading back to school, the program reached 2513 students who all will receive a fully stocked backpack for the school year. The Backpack Program saw a notable rise in new sign ups this year indicating a need within the community as well as families who have relied on the program for their child since junior kindergarten continue to benefit from the support.... | Hazardous Waste Collection Event Coming To Sauble Beach This Weekend 08/23/2024 Bruce County is holding a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event this weekend in Sauble Beach. The county says the event on Saturday at the Amabel Works Yard from 8 a.m. to noon with give people a chance to get rid of any hazardous waste which has been accumulating at home in an environmentally safe manner.
