Stoney Island Conservation Area Closed for 3 Months

The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority has closed the Stoney Island Conservation Area for 3 months. The property in Tiverton is closed for the need to remove around 7300 ash trees which have been severely affected by an emerald ash borer infestation. The tree removal process poses as a severe danger and the conservation authority is strongly advising the public to respect the closure for their own safety and the safety of the workers on site....

Speed Limit Change On North Shore & Miramichi Bay Roads in Saugeen Shores

Saugeen Shores has changed the speed limit on the North Shore Road and Miramichi Bay Road between Port Elgin and Southampton. The Town explains, that back in 2020, with the goal of enhancing public safety during reconstruction of the Town’s multi-use trail network, temporary 30 km/h zones were created on North Shore Road and Miramichi Bay Road.... Now that the work is finished, the speed limit has reverted back to its original designation of 40 km/h....
